Hello to everyone,

I'm owning a 806 (serial-no. 122xxxx from 1968). It's in a nice overall condition, but the decals on the scalering are lifting off.

What would you do in that case? Keep it as it is? Try to restore the scalering (who can make it)?

Best regards from Germany,
Breitling_Spiegelei

Would have expected that to be a 67 rather than a 68, but it doesn't look awful condition to me. I would leave it as is because you are going to be lucky to find an original replacement outer sliderule and a new replacement will look out of place.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

It is the Zen of vintage Breitlings that must be sought. It will bring inner peace.

When ten is boxed in,
The window to the past opens,
Next comes big sub-dials.

Thank you for replying.

Definitely from 68! Does somebody know if it's possible to fix the decals? As you can see the foil is rolling up.

@Bill: I also have a 806 from 1971 with big subdials. I will show this watch in the next weeks...

Best regards from Germany,

sorry, but which foil on which decals is rolling up ?

there are refinished sliderule rings available, none good; sometimes NOS rings are offered, but have not seen a boxed 10 ring for a long time - you'll need a lot of patience.

Hope you can see what I mean on this picture. I know, that the refinished sliderules are not so good, as the NOS-ones. I have both types. But as you have written, I have also never seen a used or NOS-sliderule with the boxed 10.

Best regards from Germany,
