I have seen this on ebay. I love beaded or rice-bead bezels Navitimer AOPA. :D Is this for real? Thanks for your advise!

There are others on here with infinitely more knowledge than me but if I've been learning my lessons correctly, I think this is a 2nd generation AOPA Navitimer from around 1960-1963 with a Venus 178 movement.

Others can give their opinions if the hands/dial/case match but it's certainly a good looking watch.

My, my Sharky we are coming along aren't we!!!

Absolutely correct on the apparent era of the watch - we started seeing silver subdials around 1959 / 60 and we aren't goinf to see an all black sliderule and rice bezel after about 1963. I would like a serial number to help confirm that. The hour / minute hands suggest later in that window, but could always be a service replacement as well.

The only glaring omission as far as I'm concerned is the lack of a movement photo - the price isn't a bargain by any stretch, and I'd want to be sure that there is a Venus 178 beating away in there!
