Hi Team
just wanted to let you know that I am still around , sorta.

The last 8 months I went through a bit of a personal low w/ my mom dying June last year after a very long sick bed .

This , for me, life changing event made me re-evaluate everything , including spending time on various boards and spending a lot of time and effort on identifying genuine or fake vintage Breitling watches instead of spending that time with my own family (which is expecting a new addition any day now)

Anyhow , I am still around and reading the board just not participating as much as I used to

thanks
-Rene

Hey Rene,
Good to hear you're still around. I didn't know you perhaps as well as some others did but appreciated your input into the forum. All the very best with the new addition, mate.

welcome back publicly too, René !

You contributed so much to the knowledge base on this forum, that you could remain quiet for ever and we would still have to keep trying to catch up.

That said, looking forward to some of your comments and contributions, when the relevant things in your - and every other sane person's - life allow it; all the best in that exciting time of waiting for your new child's birth !

Nice to have you back Rene, welcome! I do understand when you say family needs to be given more time and our hobbies can take a lot of time but striving for moderation with hobbies is a way to go rather than shutting them out. Condolences about your mums passing and congrats you'll expecting a lill one:)

I have said it before, you have contributed to take this Forum to another level, we can only thank you for that and hope that you will participate as much as you are capable of in the future.

I myself came to the same conclusion years ago, participating too much just takes too much time, time that for some people is better used with family & friends. Once you start digging into something it’s hard to let it go without taking it all the way, pictures, illustrations, explanations etc.

Welcome back Rene - that 1st Super Ocean project is still in my mind as one of the most challenging ones I have ever done. I still have the pics as a reminder. Best going forward, Craig
