Going for another Breitling and a vintage piece happens to pop up. It is a transocean chrono matic from the 70s. It has the 2 sundials. My question is whether it is a good representation of Breitling from that period and whether it is produced in larger numbers. Ultimately would it be better than a more modern piece? Thanks.

TransOcean chrono-matic is less common than the regualr chrono-matic and personally I think that it is a very attractive piece. Is it a good representation, well chrono-matic is fairly iconic of the era. Is it better than modern - that's personal choice. It should be assumed to have no water resistance and if the automatic winding mechanism breaks then it can be difficult to fix, but many people regularly wear much older pieces.
