Fooled ya didn't I? These are pretty interesting pieces and probably the only mechanical Navitimer that wasn't a chronograph. Serial number dates the watch to 1956. I've only seen about three of these over the years and all the serial numbers are pretty close. It's a recent pick up that's running really well. Some nicks in the gold plating so I'll probably send it out to be replated and a new crystal installed. The crown is signed. Interestingly these don't have a reference number. Measures about 35mm in diameter Movement is the Felsa 692 automatic..

Nice. Don't have it replated though. I would leave it as it is.

I haven't committed to the replating yet. I'm always torn between removing the patina on a vintage piece or making it look the best it can possibly look. I would have Craig do it since he's a former metallurgist and does a great job. It's been a while since I've had him replate a piece so I've forgotten the cost but it was reasonable.

It would be interesting to know more about these pieces as I'm certain there's probably a story why they got the Navitimer name. I think they probably were the lead in to the Transocean series which closely followed.
