Bill has an interesting story listed on a small bead 806 with a UZO/Crossroads Watch Co import code. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI ... SS:AU:1123 Haven't seen this before, so thought I'd seek the collective educational knowledge of the source to learn a bit more here! |

My opinion is that I am disappointed with Bill and if I were considering a purchase of this piece I would be wanting to fully understand what led to the claims. |

Yes he has become creative lol. Even manages to call it a 1957 navi a few times, yet also call it a "transitional navitimer, made only in late 1963, retains the treasured beaded bezel. The beaded bezel, combined with the second generation style dial and hands, was used only briefly towards the end of 1963. " |

that is one of his "cut and pastes". iirc it is a 59, travelling so a bit bandwidth-constrained, did not go through the pics again, surprisingly Bill forgets to mention the - really unusual and interesting - 117 bead bezel. |

I'm surprised he's selling it so quickly but he bought it for a good price so there's still profit in it for him. He cut and pasted a little hit and miss in the ad. The dial and hands are correct as is the bezel. The watch is 100% correct. I tend to think it's really an early 1958 release since I supplied Bill with the 1958 ad's showing the same watch with the same dial and the same number of beads in the bezel. Common opinions on when this dial was first used (around 1960) are incorrect. This was most probably the first use of this dial design and this Navitimer is most likely a one of piece. The watch completely fits in to Breitling's history of doing limited pieces for other companies during that timeframe. |

Thanks for the explanation, useful to know! Like I said I'd never seen one like this before with the UZO/Crossroads import. |
