Hello,

I'm new to the forum and just got a top time 2002. A few questions:

It appears the crown isn't original based on other pics I've seen of this model. Can anyone ID this crown? See picture below.

The crystal on this watch is plastic and raised. It is also scratched. I want to replace it. Does anyone know the specifications of the correct crystal?

The watch came with an old Spiedel stretchy band. I want to replace it. What sort of bands was this watch offered with? Leather? A bracelet?

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

crown is wrong, It should have a signed crown, think it is 6mm.
crystal should be replaced, but the pushers look as if replacing them would be a good idea; assuming you do not know the service history it would be a good idea to think abiut a service.

the watch was offered on black leather and Tropic straps, though I think honey croc is a great fit.

here's a sibling.

Got it. Any idea about proper crystal shape? Are replacement crowns hard to come by?

Fred's subtle suggestion of a service is spot on. Even if it doesn't need one now a replacement crown and crystal would make servicing a very good idea. Parts aren't easily available outside of watchmakers because they tend to keep them for their servicing needs. We have a watchmaker here Craig / chronodeco who will likely be able to help you out.

I thought I'd share a photo of the restored watch. It's a favorite of mine. Thanks again for the help! Image
