Well it's clearly a custom case - apart from the fact that it doesn't look like anythign Breitling produced it is marked as German, not Swiss. There also appear to be no model or serial numbers (the scratches are watchmaker marks) and honestly the dial doesn't look like any Breitling dial that I have seen. The movement is unsigned which may be correct, but doesn't help us with identification. See what others say, but I have seen nothing like this before from Breitling. |

There was an almost identical piece to this one last year on ebay. It cycled through a couple of times but I don't remember if it sold or not. Seems like it was described a magnetite which is why it stuck in my mind. |

Thanks, the custom case would explain why my searches haven't turned anything up. I'll have another look tonight but I'm pretty sure there are no markings or serial numbers. Would that be unusual for a watch of this age? |
