I find myself wearing my Cosmonaute a lot and decided to fit a Hirsch strap, to save wear on the genuine Breitling strap.

I hear talk of needing special tools to change straps on Breitling watches. Is there anything special needed? Should I take the watch and strap along to a Breitling dealer or will I just get fleeced for a simple pin push?

Thanks.

the overall consensus choice is the Bergeon 6767-F, here is a good source in Europe:

As I tend to misplace my tools, pens etc., I use this one, works perfectly well and ships worldwide for a very decent price including free shipping:

Thanks - I'll get a Bergeon then, it's not the first strap I've wanted to change and I'm sure it won't be the last :)

Cheers.

It's much easier than people think... I have a 6767F too and it's more than adequate.

my $2 tool from ebay does the job just fine for me :-) Bit of tape over the lugs to prevent any scratching.

Well a genuine Bergeon 6767F is only about $10 - $15 and I think that I prefer Swiss quality over Chinese when it's close to thousands of dollars worth of watches on a regular basis!
