Here's my Navitimer. I have cherished this watch since I was a young guy. Think my Grandpa strapped it on my wrist when I was around 5 years old and said one day this will be yours :) I've owned it now for 20 some years. My Great Uncle purchased it new in 1955. She's had a replacement crystal and a replacement strap. A beautiful timepiece. Three owner watch, passed from generation to generation. I'm very aware of what I have here now thanks to this site. It's made me a life long Breitling enthusiast for sure. enjoy the pictures.

It needs to stay in the family. Once the money is gone you'll wish you still had it. Keep it.

Thanks vintage. I know you're right, but this time it would actually be to help the family. So, I think it's sorta a sweet ending in that sense ;) But, nevertheless you are right and that's why i'm dipping my toes in first before I swim with this haha. Thanks for your kind comment.

Edited to reflect your edit.

Congrats on the watch and great story mate! I would keep it but if it has to go for a good cause to help your family so be it.
