He claims it's from the 60's or 70's... What do you think? I think the bezel look a bit odd, as the bracelet and the clasp. But then again, my vintage knowledge is far from solid...

Let me hit the books this evening, but I think it might be OK - I've certainly seen similar. Of course the photo with the off centre bezel is a crime

Price may be a bit high ($1,000 if I'm doing the exchange correctly).

Thanks Roff. Yes, the price right now is about $1000 and then the reserve is not met. I think it'll be relisted (Swedish "ebay" relists 2 times if unsold, don't know how the original ebay does) and that could be interesting.

Any info you can find is greatly appreciated.

OK, so had a chance to take a better look, and here are my thoughts.

I can't find examples with exactly this bezel - the style is definitely right, but the comparables all have hours rather than minutes. There are definitely similar bezels with minutes, but not quite the same.

All that said, I think that the bezel is OK.

Bracelet doesn't bother me, may not be original, but I'm sure it's real.

The movement photo isn't the greatest, the Breitling engraving on the bridge looks slightly odd, but tough to tell for sure. Movement looks like a Valjoux - I htought at first it was a 7730, but I'm not so sure now.

I'd like a model number and serial number from the caseback.

Overall, a reserved OK, would like more details before putting my cash down.

Thank you very much Roffensian. I truly appreciate it. I'll send him an email asking for more pics and possibly not to relist it till I've made him an offer.

Insane - I contacted the seller and asked for pics and made him an offer of $1000. He told me it was already gone to someone who had offered $2000! Wonder why that person didn't bid in the auction then...

If that's true it's way too much.

The earliest I have seen a bezel like this is around 66 / 67 and if this were that old and pristine then it's probably a $1,200 watch. I'm not sure that the movement is 100% - if it is a 7730 then it has some replacement parts.
