My father passed away in 1993. I'm helping my mom clean out her house and we found this in a box of his papers. She doesn't remember anything about it. The back says 1450 and then 1 418 190 below that. The serial number dates it to 1973, according to the guide on this website.

We will probably sell it to help with the moving costs. It's definitely been worn - the stainless is a little rough and the back has someone else's initials scratched in it. It's on a basic black leather band that looks newer. It says "Genuine Nubbucalf" and was made in Hong Kong.

Any tips on how much it's worth? Also, where is the best place to sell it - eBay, a local dealer, etc.? I'm in Houston, Texas.

Condition is going to hurt the value, maybe $800 - $1,000 - good condition would be nearer to $1,500. I wouldn't trade through a dealer, they'll give you nothing for it so eBay is probably the biggest exposure - but don't be surprised if you get PMs with offers - just don't let it go too cheap.

Roff's estimate is about right. Unfortunately you aren't going to get TOO much for it as they aren't too popular among vintage B's but definitely enough to help with moving costs.

eBay will provide the best exposure IMO and true market price will usually prevail.
