Nice watch! Wrong hands for a 1969 model though. These hands came on the later Cosmonautes in the early seventies. They could have just been replaced during a service sometime.

Toni,

The watch is fine as a 1969. As Paul spotted (and I missed), the hands are from the 70s, but don't worry - in all likelihood they were simply replaced during a service in the 70s. The hands on these watches are single use - you can't put them back on after they are removed for servicing and have to be replaced with new.

I use my reference books for Serial Numbers, but there is also one at www.navitimer.net. Haven't cross referenced them, but the Navitimer site is generally pretty accurate.
