This one landed a couple of months ago, untouched I believe, just in need of a full service and a soft cleaning Like many others, I'm not in general a great fan of gold plated cases, but I have to say this one is a great joy at wrist Hope you like it as I do I'm a bit lost with these references. What does refer to the 217012 number ? Thanks for your inputs ! cheers, Laurent

Congrats for this nice 808. I guess that you hide the last digits of the SN which would be 10758xx. Concerning the ref 217012, it is the registration number of the slide rule patent applied in 1941.

Thank you gentlemen, it is a fact this little chrono is highly appealing combining many key features like panda dial, dauphine hands, beautiful applied logo and indexes all of that in a perfect diameter for such a watch. I don't get why these are not so much sought after but after all, it's maybe better for enthusiasts... Saabreit, Thanks for your input in explaining the ref engraved on the case back (and yes, I have deleted the last 2 digits of the ref number) I have seen a nice 769 from you somewhere a highly desirable reference hopefully I'll be able to cross one on my way one day or the other Thanks again, Laurent
