Post subject:  Help identifying year/model of vintage Breitling

Hello,

I recently purchased a vintage Breitling as a gift and am looking to learn more information about it. I purchased the watch from a reputable dealer, and the item description is as follows...

P, steel, Breitl, chrono, mvt#7750/c1162494/77400

It is an automatic. I am a complete watch novice, but I've done enough research to know that Breitling introduced automatics in 1969.

Image attached.

Thanks in advance for anyone's insight!

and none of the numbers resemble a known Breitling ref., so impossible to say more without pics.

There is no image in the post and if the movement is a 7750 then it wouldn't be vintage. Definitely need to see a picture.

as you purchased it from a reputable dealer: please return it and get your money back, fast.

pic is very small, but the dial clearly carries the logo established in 1984, a sign of the worst fakes.
somebody here fabricated a "vintage" 7750 :wowzers

Ugh. The reason I went to the place I did was to avoid having this happen. Thanks for your help.

As Fred says, the cheapest and nastiest type of vintage fake with a modern logo, definitely get your money back and you may want to avoid using that dealer in future!
