Since it's a bit of a thing now to own a watch from your birthyear I'd like to hear from the experts which Breitling-model you'd prefer from the year 1983.

If you have any other model that really gets you going from the same year please let me know!

not the best of times for a birth year watch.

have a look here http://www.breitlingsource.com/books_1985.shtml ; many of the Quartz pieces had been out by then,
the Chronomat was a year late for you.

The Plutons and Jupiters, maybe ?

I checked it out but quartz-watches doesn't do me any good. Neither does digital.

I was thinking about Rolex but didn't want to leave the brand I love.
