Hello all!

Love this forum!!
Here's a link where you can see my 1967 Chronomat. This piece has the original box and papers dating it to a Swiss watch seller, who wrote the date of purchase. It's as close to mint as you can get. Enjoy!

Thanks! It's a real find. I tried to upload a shot of the box and papers but I wasn't able to. I believe the piece has had only one owner since everything is there - box and papers with the original sales date.

Hi all,

I noticed that there really isn't much discussion on vintage Breitlings. Rather, all I see are reactions on the newer models as great as they are. Does anyone here appreciate the older pieces? I was hoping for some discussion on the watches I put up and for a bit of insight.

Vintage Breitlings aren't commonly talked about on this board.. I personally have very little knowledge on them, but I do appreciate them... but hey, if you start, maybe a few people will join in?

Here's a link to another thread that shows my early 1940's Chronomat. Hopefully, we can start some new conversation about older Breitlings so please share your older pieces if you have any.

That sounds like a great idea! For me, the vintage pieces have more allure than the new ones, even though some of the new Breitlings trace their designs from the classics. Plus, the older Breitlings are usually more affordable.

If a Vintage Forum is created, can you move these posts there?

Ask, and ye shall receive!

Paul was the one that graciously provided the scans of the older 1985 and 1969 Catalogs that are on the website if you have not seen them, they are here:
http://www.breitlingsource.com/chronologs_books.shtml

I am thinking about organizing them better in a thumbnail set but that's not going to be right away. Also thinking about installing a litebox to handle them.. which might be the way to go.

Awesome! It doesn't get any better than that for Chronomat's! Just a beautiful piece. Here's a couple of pics of my vintage pieces.

Appreciate the vintage forum Nelson! Maybe we can collect some more visitors soon.

Wow it looks beautiful, it's as if it was never worn from the date of purchase until now.

Paul - that top piece is magnificent!! And of course the Navitimer is classic. Do you have any history about the bottom watch?

Best,
Joe
