I really want a vintage Breitling, I love the look and history behind them. I'm wondering what should I look for in purchasing vintage. Also, is there a good place to shop for something vinatge?

I'm a newbie so go easy!

Jeff

Well spend some time browsing the vintage section and find the models that you like. Just like modern pieces eBay is a major market, but the problem with fakes is even more prevalent so make sure that you check here first before committing.

ebay is by far the biggest market, just avoid all of South America & China, beware of sellers in Italy or Turkey, think twice before you trust some of the high feedback vintage traders from Florida, many are just fronts for the counterfeiters from Argentina. chrono24 lists some nice watches, but asking prices are often quite unrealistic.

whichever piece you like: post a pic here, we will be happy to verify if it is authentic.

Excellent!

Thanks for the information. I have been on Ebay but I'm always weary about buying on the internet in general. I will most certainly post anything here before I make a purchase.

I'm not sure which model I'm after, but I do appreciate the vintage peices and hopefully I'll have one soon!

Thanks again!
