Can you provide a photo of the caseback as well please. Ideally we would also like to see the movement and the inside of the caseback.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Movement shot is helpful, but seeing the front and back of the case back will help. Or at least we will know for sure if it's original.

if the back is not the original one it will be hard to say anything definite, including exact age.

I do like the fact the movement bridge is unsigned, which would be correct for the period,
am not too happy w/ the Breitling script on the dial, the "B" looks a bit off in this angle,
though hands and dial numerals look quite correct as does the V175. some more pics will help.

"B" looks good. still need the other pic, though, to date the watch. should you plan to sell it, a correct caseback is quite crucial.

Very early for guilloche subdials though n'est ce pas?

If the caseback is non original it also raises questions about the case as casebacks are not generally interchangeable.

That is definitely not a breitling caseback.

so what's the conclusion? is the whole watch fake, or is just the caseback not the original?

I suppose there is always a rare chance that a case back could have been found to fit the case, in it's long life, but more likely re-cased. Very hard to determin if it's a legit dial/movement even. I like the looks of it.

This decision is best left for the experts who reside here.

I'm dubious about the whole piece. There may be some Breitling bits, but I don't think that it's right.

probably a recased movement, dial, hands, those to me seem good, not the typical frankenwatch, this would habe Breitling logos plastered over the caseback and the movement, but definitely not a correct piece.
