What are you guys wearing on your 769s & 808s? im new to the club and lookings for two bands. 1 Black and 1 Brown. Pics? Thanks guys

I don't have pics to provide but I wear dark brown leather on my 769. Its a De Modell and reasonable for a gold plate version of that model. Black would have been good too. If its a light faced 769 in a stainless case, then you might be surprised by dark brown for a strap.

If its an 808, with white on the dial, then why not play with coloured bands. Red carbon fibre anyone? Depends on your taste and if you want to keep it trad or not.

both models are iconic classics, both work extremely well with brown and tan calf (or period correct but hard to find tan pigskin), croc looks great; black is fine too, of course.

I am a big fan of croc and if you can find a colour that has that rich, reddish brown I think that it really makes an 808 pop - like a couple of Fred's.

Looks great. I was thinking of getting black for my 769 (white with black ring) but im now leaning toward another brown/red. What manufactors are you guys using?

Like reddish brown too.

I like steel/white dials on black. I like the vintage's reddish brown strap alot too.

De gustibus non est disputandum, or maybe De gustibus et coloribus... I did say it was a matter of taste.
