My knowlegde of vintage Breitlings is unfortunately rather limited. Could you please help me with your thoughts on this one?

I know the seller from earlier auctions and that makes me a bit worried regarding the watch.

Well I'm never a fan of a watch where I can't see a model or serial number - I just don't know why sellers wouldn't show that!!

Looks like there is no model number on the outside of the caseback, although photo isn't very clear - and serial would likely be inside the caseback.

The layout and style of the dial is reminiscent of early to mid 50s, although the hour and minute hands look wrong for that era (although close), as does the logo (would expect script). It may be the photo, but the 3 o'clock subdial doesn't look centred in the recess either.

The logo suggests late 50s, or into the 60s - if this is right I'd lean towards the 1958 - 60 range.

Movement looks like a Venus 188.

I don't see anything obvious that let's me say it's wrong - although all of the above make me cautious. I would be looking for a model number that I could reconcile to a Venus 188 powered chronograph and a serial number that's consistent with the era. My Swedish is non existent so don't know if seller is claiming gold or gold plate, but if gold then I would have expected a gold case back with 0.750 on it as well.

Thank you for your opinion Roffensian.

Swedish isn't that hard to understand... ;)

The seller claims gold plated, but apart from that I just wanted to know your feeling on the watch. Your post is absolutely good enough, because anything else than a solid "authentic, no doubt" equals "stay away" with this guy...
