In the Breitling range you can find the clone of this Gigandet Wakmann . It is dated from the 70s , in the Datora period . Note the 45' subcounter and the sunburst finish of the case .
Icko Wakmann was the US official distributor of Breitling. Gigandet was a small watch company but I don' t know much about the relationship between Wakmann and Gigandet, and between Breitling and Gigandet .

I believe that "Charles Gigandet" was brand that Wakmann imported as well
the Gigandet - Breitling connection is non existent as far as I know other than the Wakmann connection with Wakmann being the import company
Wakmann was the US importer of Breitling watches , and that is why you will find the WOG on all (or most?) Brands, including Gigandet, that Wakmann imported during that period

I have read somewhere that Gigandet was occasionnally acting as a subcontractor for bigger brands . Concerning my watch as on pic , I am not sure of the ref of the equivalent Breitling . It is supposed to be ref. 592 but I cannot find any data in the Richter book.

592 is a perfectly valid reference, just another Richter gap.
