Can you please help me , with the crown being on the left does this watch wind clockwise or anti-clockwise ie towards me or away from me ????

Cal 11 - 12 auto winding system operates both ways . Wind it manually just enough to start - 5to 10 rotations - and let it wind automatically .

I wouldn't use the auto winding too much - these automatics are fragile and parts are hard to find.

If you hold it upside down (i.e. so the crown is on the right) then it winds normally - turning the crown away from you.

:yeahthat on mine usually I'll give it a full wind which is about 30-40 turns... less stress on the winding in general.
