Post subject:  Is there a vintage Breitling museum in Switzerland?

Hi guys, saw some references on the web mentioning a Breitling museum in Switzerland that has vintage Breitlings, anyone been there and be kind enough to share some pics and info on it,

Thanks

Here's one of the quotes from a seller

Quote:
This is A Rare Breitling you may NOT see again, unless you visit the BREITLING MUSEUM in Switzerland, where you can see this watch, along with the the other RAREST of all BREITLINGS in BREITLINGS' permanent vintage collection.

If you mean who I think you mean (please post link) its the same guy that dreamt up these pieces he's trying to sell

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36783

He claims he has a museum, he also claims several forum members from different fora have visited , I just have a hard time finding people who supposedly visited

Ive not heard of an official Breitling museum in switzerland , I agree they should have one and maybe they have now ?
but the only references I can find to it are from those posts you linked to, might just be part of the sales blurb of that seller ?
would be fun to visit that said museum though

Breitling has it's own collection at their HQ that they sometimes refer to as their museum.

It's not open to the public - it's in their head office - displays in meeting rooms etc

No idea how many total pieces that have, less than you would assume because it's a different company.

Thanks Roff, would be interesting to know if they have mostly modern watches or a sizeable vintage collection on display, considering all the heritage inspired models they have been bringing out.

They were certainly showing a "collection" back in 2003. There was also some debate about a Spanish exhibition that had watches that also appeared in "Breitling The Book". Try a search for that.

The Unofficial Breitling FAQ is proud to present the Breitling USA Vintage Collection courtesy of Breitling USA and Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers. While Breitling continues to strategically add historically important pieces to the collection, it is presented here in its entirety as of November 22, 2003. The descriptions come directly from Breitling USA, although any information pertaining to serial numbers has been intentionally omitted. Please click the thumbnails to view larger images. Note that there is no item #11; this is not an error. Enjoy!

Thanks, looks awesome. Maybe they should borrow some of Kurts 806's:). I have written to Breitling asking them about the museum, hopefully they reply:)

Sorry Rick, removing that link because it's about the promotion of fakes.

I don't think that I would take it as evidence of anything, but the text (for what it's worth) with all links removed is:
