Hello everyone, I'm a relatively new collector and I hope you don't mind me asking a little help as I learn proper history. I recently picked up a vintage watch advertised as a Marvin Wakmann, with a Marvin brand dial, a Wakmann case and an MSR P13 movement, purportedly dating from the mid-1960s. Is there anyone who can shed light on whether Marvin ever used Wakmann components (or vice versa)? I'm curious to know if the watch (which I enjoy anyway) is original from that period, or a "Frankenstein" made from spare parts more recently. I'll be eternally grateful for your expertise. ![]() Thanks in advance! |

Wakmann did act as agents for some other brands at different points in their life, but I have never heard of a Marvin connection so my gut says franken, but see if other people have seen any. |

Apologies! It just seems like maybe it would attract more responses in the other forum. I can delete and re-post there if that would be easier! |
