Many months ago I bought this TransOcean 7102 on a whim:

The price was right and it is one of the TransOceans I always thought was well proportioned.

The nice discovery was that I really liked it, much more than expected. The blue-on-blue dial gives nicely integrated look, the white subdials are very unique, and this model's blue hands are possibly the nicest set of hands on any watch I have owned. It is a very unique and comfortable timepiece. The fact that it contains the 'Valjoux' 7740 movement (manual winding version of the Cal. 12) makes it even more special.

So I recently sold it to a friend in the Netherlands.

:?:

Ever heard of the TransOcean 7102.3?

It is a truly rare version of the 7102 that has a brown tachy scale/chapter ring and black subdials.

I need more brown watches...

It is a NOS piece that somehow found its way from Old World Jewelers (or one of the few other organizations that bought out Breitling's stock back in the Bad Period) and into the hands of a European seller. It was sitting for a long time before I noticed it, and, well, I have a replacement 7102.

:D

The question now is how to remove the sticker from the back without destroying it. Any suggestions?

I don't think Breitling ever made an ugly TransOcean - love those pieces. Second Dracha's recommendation on the hair dryer.
