Hi, just doing some research on 806's and saw some interesting threads here about them though still a long way to go in learning about them. Can I see some pictures of your 806's from 54 and 55 please.

Thanks

Kurt's website

but technically there are no '54 806's :) Those navitimers should all have the V72 movement and no reference
only towards the end of '55 there are some 806's

Thanks for the info mjfur, Dracha.

@Dracha: Yupz, that's true too, so the caseback would have no reference number written on it, will look something like this, right? What about a serial number somewhere? http://www.swisswatchexpo.com/ProductGa ... wNumber=10. But then again from what I read they were not even called Navitimers when the 54 valjoux 72 version was out and only got that name in 55 true?

There are lots of threads here on 'early' Navitimers and whether there are any prior to 54. You have to assume that if they didn't exist until 54 then they wouldn't have a name until at least then. Regardless of when you think they first appeared I have a hard time believing that they didn't have a name, and Breitling still maintains that they were referred to as Navitimers as early as 1952 - but then they also maintain that there are 1952 Navitimers.

Thanks. Wouldn't that information about first registration dates on the "Navitimer" trademark be in the trademarks registration records with the govt though is possible they might have used the name prior to registering it?

The name wasn't registered until later - 1955 or 56 from memory.
