If anyone has a vintage Model 815 (Long Playing), or indeed any watch with the Valjoux 7736 movement, can I ask a favour?. Can you tell me if the chrono sweep second hand moves smoothly? I notice with mine that when fully wound, the hand stutters. It keeps perfect time but the sweep is not super smooth. As the watch winds down, the sweep gets smoother. cheers, ike |

What do you mean by stutters? Mine was fine- smooth and consistent regardless of how much it was wound.... Sold it a month ago so can't check it right now unfortunately... |

Update: B.UK advised it may be characteristic under the full tension of a new mainspring. However there is an adjustment that may cure it, so they will examine it and re-adjust if necessary. Even if it is a quirck of this movement, I have the peace of mind knowing it is all tickedy-boo! ![]() Ike |

Just thought I'd update this. Whatever was causing the problem, Breitling have adjusted it and the chrono sweep is now perfect!. Shame it was sent to me with a fault in the first place, but with respect to Breitling, their customer service is excellent. cheers, ike |
