So I own a coupe and I was lifting my girlfriend's little boy out of the back seat and as he came out I guess the bezel got caught on something and popped off! Luckily I immediately found it and along with it there was a thin metal wire that accompanied it... kinda like a paper clip straightened out and bent in a circular fashion... it's malleable and I'm guessing it serves as a "liner" to the inner wall of the bezel and took me a bit of time to put the bezel back on... with some tug the bezel won't come off and I'm 99% sure that it's been put on properly as the bezel rotates freely but I get worried now that it can happen again...

any suggestions on how to secure this on more tightly? and no I won't glue it on...

These vintage bezels ....

Had a business meeting two weeks ago, in an outdoor cafe on the Vienna Graben.
Talking with my hands, as always, trying to make an important point, accidentaly hit the table edge with my 1956 Navi and the bezel popped off. Found the bezel immediately, but my customers and I - and a group of japanese tourists who were having breakfast next to us - spent the next 30 minutes trying to find a white subdial hand that had come off too, on the light grey granite pavement of the Graben.

Talk about finding a needle in a haystack, no chance, of course.

Sat back down, a little out of breath, and closed the deal minutes later, the mishap had taken all tensions out of the negotiation ....

Will take special care with my 2110.

wow off of an 806 too huh Fred? I would have thought otherwise for a Navi because the bezel sits more flush with the overall case IMO but with the 2110 the bezel overlaps the entire case by at least a millimeter more... but I guess anything can happen because in your case you hit the watch whereas mine probably got caught on something and popped off... think of it as a bottle cap coming off the bottle...

regardless that's why these vintage pieces cannot be suitable for everyday wear... :(
