I will say I've bought a half dozen Breitling's from these guys and they've always been accurately described.

Look the other offers of this seller:    always been accurately described.

Not the first Navitimer I've seen with 809 on the back. Looks accurately described to me.

Kurt, as you are probably watching this thread, may we have your opinion regarding the Navitimers with 809 model no. stamping ? I also have seen some of those (and have one myself, came with the original box, papers, from someone who claimed to have bought it from the original owner). Swapping casebacks seems almost impossible (tried it myself on several pieces just to see whether it was really tricky - and it proved impossible to find a correctly fitting swappable pair), so how did these casebacks get on these Navitimers ?

It doesn’t really matter what I say, they have been deemed by collector’s long time ago, as we want our watches correct according to the book. Having said that though, I can easily imagine that a few 806 have slipped through production in the 60’s with an 809 case back, or the other way around.

They are indeed swappable, but you will have to make them fit by working on the case or the case back with some tool or a lathe, going into specifically explain how, is too complicated for me, unless you want it in Danish, it’s definitely possible that way with many, but then there’s no way back afterwards.

I would never even think of buying one myself, regardless of the price.

Hi Kurt ., whats the correct term for that 'fit ring' ??

Dracha, in the English speaking world it is called a 'spacer', but you as a Dutch certainly will understand the German word for it: 'Werkhaltering', which tells you exactly the purpose of this part.

Hardly recognizable, but it’s the same watch.

It will become a part of my collection for the future, hopefully that will help legitimate them.

The pitting is bad, but it appeared worse on the full size pictures then it is for real, on the pusher side of the case it’s not worse then that it can be removed, but I will leave it as it is since it’s a part of the history of the watch, on the back of the case and the case back it’s very deep.

I have replaced the sliderule with another one I had from 1955, and it match the watch perfectly, not ?
