Hi so i currently have a new Navi but want to add a vintage breitling to get a collection going!
I am finding it very difficult to find a grnuine approved or reputable shop in the UK??

I ve seen a few on ebay but dont want to take the risk of a gettign burned on a fake!
Can anyone recommend anywhere?
I am fed up of seeing loads of vintage rolexs!! i want a old school breitling thats been proffesional restored!

Any advice or help?

Check my article about Vintage Navitimers http://vintageure.dk/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=109 and feel free to get in touch with me if it's a Vintage Navitimer you want, I might be able to help you.

Hi Kurt

Very intersting read! however i am thinking of something abit different to a navitimer as i currently have one. Do you know of any similiar articles on other vintage Breitlings? or even the full history of Breitling?

Andy,

there are quite a lot of online "Breitling History" articles but none that covers all the aspects and periods of vintage Breitlings. A good resource for the other important vintage line, the historic Chronomat is here: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f39/breitl ... -9103.html

Browsing this subforum will show you many examples - excellent, good and franken/fake; here you can find some vintage brochures that should give you a good overview of the late 60s/early70s:
http://www.breitlingsource.com/books_1969.shtml
http://www.breitlingsource.com/books_70s.shtml

If you want to read about Breitling and see the most complete listing of Breitling models, the - imperfect - book by Benno Richter is the resource most of us use:
http://www.amazon.com/Breitling-History ... 105&sr=8-1

Have fun (and try not to get addicted)
