We're going to need a bit for information than that. At the very least value will depend on condition so photos will really help, preferably including the movement. |

Roff asked for pictures of YOUR watch and the installed movement to determine condition. |

ross m wrote: that is the watch i have Yes, we know that from the model number, but the value will be based on your watch's condition, which year, degree of originality, etc so we need to see your watch. |

Duplicate topics merged. I can only speak for myself, but........... Over the years I have seen way, way too many people come here asking about their watch only to see my replies copied word for word on to that person's eBay listing with a comment that "experts on BreitlingSource say this watch is worth at least........" It makes me very wary. This is a rare watch, in original condition it's even rarer. A mint original is worth 10 to 20 times what a badly maintained piece with replacement parts is worth. That's why we always ask for photos of the watch - a pretty straightforward request and when the person asking: a) doesn't provide the pictures b) repeatedly pushes for a valuation It makes me even more wary than I was before. Other members can provide any opinions that they want, but I will never quote a value on any watch that I haven't seen. |

Instructions for posting large photos are here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453 For pictures in .jpg format (jpeg) up to 250k in size you can attach them directly to your post, just scroll down below the main message window and the function is there just like attaching something to an e-mail. If you can't get movement shots then photos of dial and caseback are at least a start. The current Breitling that overhauled your watch has nothing to do with the Breitling that produced this watch - that company effectively went bankrupt in 1978 and the new company bought the name, so while the new company has some knowledge I have seen them service some very dodgy watches - GBP835 is tough to pass up. |

i will try and send pictures asap but in the meantime i can assure you there is nothing dodgy about this watch it is 100% original. it was left to me by my father who recently passed away. he was an avid sailor and business man who only had the best of everything. the watch was in a draw for 25 years or so as my dad was disabled for many years. so i just sent it off 2 breitling uk as i thought was best !!? |
