to more relevant vintage subjects than Mr. Panarelli.

suppose many of you have seen this already, what an extraordinary piece.

also adds to the old "were there Breitling branded buckles" discussion.

It's absolutely gorgeous, and I have it on watch, but the price is way too high even for a piece like this.

To the best of my knowledge the seller has no connection to the complex web of our friend's retailers which is even more reassuring. I will confess that I have been wondering how much I would pay for it, and honestly I don't know the answer.

Seller is Dino van Lingen, a Dutch dealer of vintage cars and watches. http://www.carsandwatches.com/about-us/

Please Roff, dont punk the members here. Take a look at the serial number 100% fake.

here do you find the only correct Breitling Duograph worldwide: http://cgi.ebay.de/BREITLING-Uhr-Duogra ... 3f06010c34

Not sure how you determine that a photo where the serial number has been blocked out is 100% fake.

As for the piece that you link to, I wouldn't buy that piece if I could inspect it personally - dealing with that individual would leave way too nasty a taste in my mouth.

If I have proof that a banned member is circumventing the rules with a separate user ID I will act, but I will not act without proof.

Dueling Duographs! Does it get better? Rattrapantes and rapiers at five paces!

For what it's worth, I find Dino's more authentic than Herbert's. At least, Dino's movement is authentic. I don't think any part of Herbert's is authentic, and the case is just jarringly wrong. It would have been more plausible to try to pass that one off as a 1980's Serie Limitee.

I am not going into the debate about whos who

but I firmly believe the german 766 duograph is a 1980's re-issue

same as the one sold through antoquor...... which was also the re-issue

But I am not sure about the Dino one yet .. still digesting that one , I might even make an appointment to view if he agrees to an inspection

Agree 100%.

Would be interested if you do decide to inspect the Dutch piece, I have some concerns, not least the fact that the price is high and I am half a world away, but I really want to like it.

Please excuse Dracha, but you're not right. This Duographs exist as re-issue, but the re-issues have serial numbers higher than 1.440.000

Only the originals have 7xx.xxx.

Here you will find 2 originals an 1 re-issue : http://www.breitling-uhren-forum.de/ind ... readID=812

i am not allowed into the inner sanctum of that site

"You are not allowed to enter this page. You do not have the required permissions to enter this page."

After further investigation (see further down this thread) I have concluded its not a 1980 re-issue , nor is it a 1950ies watch
the dogshead gold hallmark was introduced as the swiss gold hallmark is 1995 , so the Duograph I thought was a re-issue is neither a 1950ies nor a re-issue ,.... I now believe its not even a Breitling case :( and its a Telda case & movement with dial redone so it now is a fake Breitling
