Is this model correct? How well would something like this clean up in a restore?

Of course it is a fake, because nobody is so stupid to sell a real Datora moonphase for such small money.

Franken at best and likely outright fake - although the rotor looks real.

Seller tries to explain the mismatched casebacks by saying that he sold it as it was gold - a weak excuse at best.

the dial patina is actually the nicest thing about this watch. would it be authentic you would not try to "restore" this ?

Not sure who this schroeder fella is but sounds interesting.

back on topic though....What are the ref number for the non chrono moonphase models? Are these hard to come by in good condition?

http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-BREITLING-T ... 522wt_1141

this seller at least looks like he is trying to be open and lots of pics.

Aside from the fact that Breitling never used 10 micron plating, does the Breitling engraving on the movement look factory done to you?

I'm sure that I'm forgetting some, but non chrono moonphase references wil include:

84 / 28
86 / 28
88 / 28
89 / 28
90 / 28
93 / 28
94 / 28
239 / 95
244 / 94

but never Valjoux 90, only Valjoux 89, Venus 203 or Felsa Bidynator
