seller says "I DO NOT SELL FAKES, REPLICA’S OR AFTERMARKET WATCHES!!" ..... but it looks like he will sell a franken.
Name at least 3 reasons why this R7734 (and 1 main reason why any R7734) was never used in the Pult?

Yep, that date wheel's a give away. I wanted one of these for so long but eventually gave up because i couldn't find a decent one at a good price.

I had one with a cal 12 in it several years ago and sold it - wish I hadn't.
The date wheel is the easiest to spot but the R7734 was used in other bull head cases so the correct date wheel is possible - I just happen to have one. The other 2 issues are not so easy.
What are they?

Not questioning what you have Craig, but......

Are you sure that it's a 7734 in yours and not a 7740 - I thought that all of the Valjoux bullheads were 7740s.

They come in both configurations.

Just to clear things up.... the Pult I had was a cal 12 for sure - crown on the bottom, pushers on the top. The 7740 would have been the correct movement for this case with the pushers and crown at the top. Here are the other 2 problems with the one in question: because all of the Pult dials have a 12 hour register at the bottom (at least all of the ones I have ever seen),
the constant sub second hand on a 7734 will only work on the 60 second sub register! Now for the really good one... the movement has a set of 45 minute sub register gears with a 30 minute sub register at the top. A pretty obvious oversight by whoever put this one together.
So, this one get a big LOL Breitling of the week!

The 7101 does use the Valjoux 7740.

The 2117 uses the Cal 12.
