Thank you very very much for all of your help, Roffensian. I only have one question left...

Do you (or does anyone else here) know where I might be able to get a dial for this watch? The dial on this one was redone, and it isn't the best example of fine craftsmanship.

I would start with an AD and see if they can source something from Breitling or whether they can re-restore the dial to a higher standard.

If not an independent watchmaker may help or if you don't mind waiting and paying then Mark Heist in Philadelphia can do amazing things, but..... if he isn't convinced that the watch is completely genuine then he won't touch it.
