Hi , first post. Been interested in watches for about a year now since my father turned up with a longines weems AM 34mm military watch, which I bought. So he's now bought a 806 navitimer 1970 I believe. It did not work and is currently at a watch repairers who will be replacing crystal, servicing and doing as little as possible as instructed. Would appreciate any info and reasonable selling price as its not a keeper to me. Watch man says every thing is ok and does not run because needs cleaning /service http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/showthre ... itimer+806 This is pre repair, repaired pics to follow |

You were already given a link to Jean-Michel's site in the other forum, see also here - http://forums.watchuseek.com/f39/breitl ... 25057.html There are also hundreds of threads here on the 806 that are probably worth a read to learn about them and some of the versions, history, etc. In terms of value, it is extremely dependent on condition, there are always several available on eBay so that's a good reference for you. |

I'd say that is just about right. The new (or painted) main hands stand out a bit much against the aged dial, but the rest of it looks very nice, very well integrated. \ |

Well I would say you did pretty decent for yourself.... not too bad... 806s will always IMO usually keep above the 2k USD mark... |
