Hi All,

I searched the forums but I can't find a thread on how to read the serial numbers on vintage B's? There were plenty of comments from senior members around identifying manufacturing dates from serial numbers, but I can't find a write up on doing it myself. Is there a trick to it (like the rolex's) or is it just production runs with numbers ranging per model year?

Thanks again,

-Erik

Reliable numbers from 1944 - 1978 based on sequences - http://www.watchestobuy.com/BreitlingSerial.htm

There is no distinction between chronograph and non chronograph (i.e. the numbers are mixed together) so you have to look at the right list.
