Hi guys,

I have had this watch for years and the original dial (which was silver with black sub-dials) had some bad scratches, so I bought this blue dial for it. What do you think? The "Breitling Geneve" text looks a little crooked to me, not sure the dial is authentic.

I had been looking for a few years for a replacement dial. The movement in the watch is a Valjoux 7730. I wound up putting a dial for a 7733 on it. That required me sawing the dial feet off and putting two new ones on in the proper position. Of course, now that I am done, there are three Breitling dials for 7730 movements on fleabay. lol

Ron

Yes I had read that. Thanks. As I wrote in that post, I searched for years for a good replacement dial and could never find one. I am considering this a work-around that will allow me to wear the watch while I continue my search.

For some reason that made an impression on me as a child. No idea why. :D
That's why you should always make sure you know what your children are watching on t.v. :)

Yeah, as you note I think that's an aftermarket dial, but unfortunately there aren't any reliable sources of NOS dials that I am aware of. You end up having to find a donor watch and of course that can have its own problems.
