It seems to be working fine.
Brown and Co. jewelers here in Atlanta states they can send it to Breitling in Connecticut to be cleaned and serviced for approx. $350.00. Seems a little high but don't know.

Preices on these pieces will vary hugely depending on condition, originality, etc. eBay can give you some idea, but we'll need pictures to be able to provide anything like accurate numbers - preferably front, incside and outside of caseback and movement.
By the way, that serial number dates to 1968, not 1964.
