Hi All, Can anyone shed any light on this.. I would like a stop watch for my light aircraft knee board and think a Breitling would be more than suitable. Is this a genuine Pre-Breitling watch?.. and has anyone got a value for it.. thanks Nick http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Breitling-Geneve-7-Jewels-Stopwatch-Stop-Watch-Vintage-/260704297013?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item3cb32fe035

I'm not sure what you mean by 'pre-Breitling', but it looks OK from those bad pictures. However, I would never buy without better pictures including a movement shot.

Vintage (Paul) is much more of an expert on the stop watches than I am so see what he says too.

This one is a relatively standard mechanical model that is probably at it's max value in the auction. You can buy the same mechanical movement in many different Breitling timers on ebay at the moment. There are different dial variations, like this one, but the insides are pretty much standard. They all will need to be oiled for reliable everyday use if not done previously. Range from $30 - $150. Haven't seen any fake Breitling timers probably because of their limited value.
