It is consistent with a 2212 (unlike the one on the Landeron site it had a date at 6 o'clock like the one on eBay).

The movement should be a Valjoux 7734, although of course we don't know what this one has. I'm also a little concerned that the seller states that there is no serial number - it could have worn off as they weren't as deeply etched, but there is usually some evidence.

Dang. My apologies Roff. I posted the wrong link on the Landeron site.
It should have been this.
http://www.landeron.com/boitiers-de-mon ... --348.html

But otherwise possible is what I'm understanding?

Certainly possible that it's original, also possible that it's wrong. I worry about bad pictures and no movement shots.

Gotcha.
Thanks so much Roff.

These 7734 cases have been on ebay for some time now. Fakers are buying them up and the are right back on ebay as Breitlings. Breitling NEVER made anything that looked like this.

When I was researching this Craig I checked Richter and couldn't find anything close, nor could I find a ref.# or movement that seemed to fit.. I then checked the Israeli site for the ref number the seller had posted of 2212 and came up with this for the ref number.

http://www.clubbreitlingisrael.co.il/si ... aWord=2212

I'm guessing they are in error?

Edit: I also contacted the seller today to see if I could get a movement picture. He emailed me back saying he would provide one but never did.

Thanks,

Elwyn

Club Breitling Israel is a crapshoot... might I add that when Michael aka Norbert aka i-am-spamming! aka Breitlingmuseum was here, he claimed himself that most of the pictures on Club Israel were his...

push comes to shove...

But my opinion is I'll have to agree with Craig... something about this piece doesn't give off that correct late 60's-70's Breitling vibe... especially the hands and the dial... I've noticed most of the dials and hands from watches from this era are full of color.

Post subject:  I think it is just plain bogus.

I think a 2212 is a Sprint and needs to look like the one on page of the 1969 catalog

http://www.breitlingsource.com/images/l ... age_19.jpg

I don't think the Israeli site is a useful reference because there is no distinction between real and incorrect or compromised examples, of which there is a high ratio.

Very good info concerning Club Breitling Israel and a former member here that I wasn't aware of guys. Bill thanks for the link to the Sprints. All this really helps me out.

Thanks so much to everyone.
