Comrades, I apologize for my ignorance, but I do not know a thing about watches. Today I went with my mother to her dressmaker. Anyway, she showed her husband desk and said that I could take whatever I wanted. Here's what I've found. Attachment: DSC00857.JPG Attachment: DSC00859.JPG Attachment: DSC00860.JPG First I would like to know if it is authentic and whether it was worth I restore it. I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. |

It appears to be authentic from what I can tell. Parts would be very difficult to find. The caseback looks as if there is a hole in it and would need to be replaced. The movement looks trashed. You would have to sub parts from other models to get it to work (Frankenwatch). In my opinion, I would pass....unless you enjoy restoring old timepieces. ~Brian |

It used to be a real Breitling, now it's most of a real Breitling. Someone has sabotaged that movement and removed a bunch of the keyless works and who knows what else. It'll cost you more to restore than it's worth. |

Common Felsa 692 automatic, easy to find parts for. I've got a couple of complete movements laying around as spares but they're easily obtainable for little money. I like the Unidate and the dial on this one. |

Thanks Flynbyu, Roffensian, vintage and jlee5050. In fact, what I found it used to be a watch. And the worst thing you guys do not know, I found what used to be a Rolex. As I was told, children have free access to the rolltop desk. I'll try to find the missing pieces in the little drawer where it was. Now, restore, only leading to a specialist. For now, I'll keep it. Thanks again! God bless you all! |
