This is a very nice and rare complete set. I've not seen another like it. I absolutely love the box!
It comes complete with the signed buckle which is gold plated.

I am trying to think of any other Chronometer rated watches by Breitling, but none comes to mind?
Anyone know what the difference is to the movement to make it chronometer rated?

Very nice indeed.

There are a couple of pages in Richter on chronometers, don't recall which models off the top of my head. I have no idea what changes were made to achieve certification, or even who made the changes.

Seen a couple of these but none with this box. This one sold in the same price range without the box.

Seems to also answer the question about whether the double wing buckles were original or not. I've seen two completely original pieces in the last two weeks with the double wing buckle but neither on a Navitimer.

Except one is USD and the other is UK pounds. Same order of magnitude, anyway :)

Very elegant watch.

Oh my goodness... look at the sharpness of the case... that is beautiful!

That box is pretty sharp too... if it stays and ends at that price, I would think it's fair for a piece like that...

It's a BIN, so won't be going higher, though of course the exchange rate doesn't help you in the US.

Found an interesting article about vintage chronometers from Omega. I'd always assumed that specialist chronometer
movements were produced, but it also seems that a lot of chronometer movements were regular movements finished
to a much higher degree and then sent for testing.

Also dug out an advert that includes the box.

I love the fact that the box could later be used as "a jewel case or cigarette box". Would be nice if some modern
boxes could be used that way. :D
