Hi, I've a Breitling Top Time 2002 from 1968, the one with the monocoque case. Unfortunetly ther is something wrong with the 45min register... When I start the chrono, the central seconds starts moving, the 45min register jumps to the 1 minute marker. This al works like it should. But when the central seconds hits 58 seconds , the 45 min register jumps to the second position and at 60 seconds it jumps again. So after one minut the 45 registers show three minutes instead of two. Stopping and resetting the chrono works fine. Can some tell me what the steps are to uncase the movement? I can remove the glass and the crown, but then? How is the movement secured in the case? I'll post some pictures when I have it open. Greetz Arco |

I've never taken one of these out - I assume that the crown stem is still in place and there is no way to remove? Try PMing chronodeco or onewatchnut. They are both watchmakers with far more experience than me and have likely removed 'front load' movements before. |

Stem has snap together lock so the crown can be removed and the movement lifted out. Not intended for amature removal. Craig |

Ok. Thank you. Here are some Q&D pics: ![]() ![]() Will try if I can find out why the 45 min register doesn't function prob. Otherwise I'll send it to a watchmaker. |

Craig Hi Craig, Do you know if there is a ring just beneath the plexi whichs hold the movment in place. I did remove de crown and the glass but it seems there is a thin ring which keeps the complete movment in the case, a'm I right? Arco |

The only other ring is the tension ring that is inside the crystal and it should come out with the crystal (if it has not been removed before). There are no others that I know of. Craig |

Thank you for your reply, I've managed to fix the Chronographe. There is a litte excenter adjustment screw who adjusts the space between the center wheel and a chronograph wheel. This one needed a litte adjustment. Thanks! greetz Arco |
