I have a Breitling that I inherited from my father and I am trying to identify it. The serial # on the back is 820339 and the number below that is 796. It is 18K yellow gold. It may have been purchased in Europe. I would send pics but I can't seem to take one that would be of any use. Any suggestions there? Thanks, Paul Attachment: Breitling 005.jpg

Have to be honest and say that I don't think it's right - script Breitling dial, print Breitling caseback sets all kinds of alarms off. I think that the case could be correct, but son't think that the dial started life with that watch. Any chance of pictures of the movement and inside of the caseback? |

I can't find anything on a 796. Is there such an animal? |

The caseback will pop off with a thin blade - be careful - you don't want to scratch the movement. Take it to a local watchmaker if you prefer and they'll be happy to help you. |
