Just got this 1966 Ref 810-24 in. It needs some work because it has the wrong crown, wrong sub register hands, and a cracked crystal but is running well and should clean up nicely. Pretty Venus 178 movement and WOG marked bridge. Don't see too many of these around.

That one worked out pretty well Paul - maybe I should start taking a few more punts on pieces with bad photos!

I think that's really a very nice looking piece vintage, great pick up. Where did you find that one?

Definitely looking forward to seeing what it looks like when it's had its makeover.

Would you believe that went through a complete 7 day auction on ebay unsold? Made the guy an offer and got it.

Yea, I saw that "estate" piece too. You definitely have to show us some "after" pics. Good luck with the restore.

I gather that doesn't happen very often?

Kudos to you for following through. A very nice result for the effort.

That has really cleaned up beautifully Paul  Again what a fantastic watch and a great story behind the acquiring. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of those.

Well, I do have a lot of other things that I do but since I retired a year and a half ago but my watch hobby became a full time job for the most part. I have a steady stream of watch repairs and restorations from all over the world. Trust me, I am very thankful for all of this. I can't imagine retirement without a meaningful way to spend ones time.
Thanks to all of you who have supported me, Craig
Other hobbies - flying a 1976 Piper Warrior, collecting wine for the wine cellar, consulting metallurgical work in aluminum.
