Just got this 1966 Ref 810-24 in. It needs some work because it has the wrong crown, wrong sub register hands, and a cracked crystal but is running well and should clean up nicely. Pretty Venus 178 movement and WOG marked bridge. Don't see too many of these around. |

That one worked out pretty well Paul - maybe I should start taking a few more punts on pieces with bad photos! |

I think that's really a very nice looking piece vintage, great pick up. Where did you find that one? Definitely looking forward to seeing what it looks like when it's had its makeover. |

Would you believe that went through a complete 7 day auction on ebay unsold? Made the guy an offer and got it. |

Yea, I saw that "estate" piece too. You definitely have to show us some "after" pics. Good luck with the restore. |

I gather that doesn't happen very often? Kudos to you for following through. A very nice result for the effort. |

Well, I do have a lot of other things that I do but since I retired a year and a half ago but my watch hobby became a full time job for the most part. I have a steady stream of watch repairs and restorations from all over the world. Trust me, I am very thankful for all of this. I can't imagine retirement without a meaningful way to spend ones time. Thanks to all of you who have supported me, Craig Other hobbies - flying a 1976 Piper Warrior, collecting wine for the wine cellar, consulting metallurgical work in aluminum. |
