Post subject:  Will Breitling Service Vintage Watches?

I've had my eye on a few vintage Breitlings - primarily one from the 1940s.

This particular piece is being offered for about $2,000 US which I find reasonable, however, the case could probably be polished and the dial cleaned up a bit.

Does anyone know if Breitling will service their vintage pieces. From what I understand, so watchmakers take much pride when vintage watches are sent to them for servicing, but I don't know what Breitling's policy is with vintage pieces.

Thanks much.

Breitling doesn't service vintage pieces but recommends Horological Services which does.

Some countries still support vintage pieces in house - I think BUK still does, but as Paul says Mark Heist is recommended in the US.
