I really like this Premier from 1945 with the gorgeous dial but what really blows me away are the Breitling tags on the strap. One would wonder if that was the original strap and how it lasted this long. I think Craig could make quick work of giving this one a redo.

Wow, that is cool. The strap is probably not practical given the age of the leather, but a very nice thing to have. I like the art deco style numbers too, and these pieces are still relative bargains for what they are - given that the visual condition will frighten some buyers off, someone will likely get a bargain.

What is the size of the dial on this one? Also, roughly what do you think this one would be worth if it were serviced by Craig??

Total diameter of the watch (not the dial) is approximately 38mm, restored and serviced it should be close to a $2,000 watch assuming that it is a solid gold case - which it should be, but I don't see any hallmarks (they could be on the inside). If you are considering bidding just remember that there are no movement shots so no guarantees that it's mechanically correct.

I only bid a max of $500 on it...should have made it at least $700. The price went up about $120 in the last 20 seconds. Lesson learned.

I was under the impression it was a plated case with a stainless back. You won't see corrosion like that on a solid gold back. I think it went for the right price.

You may be right, caseback looked gold, but that could be the pictures. Price is right for a GP model.
