Hi there,
il like the ref. 2111, see link

http://cgi.ebay.it/Breitling-Champion-A ... 5886cd4c37

but in my opinion several things have been changed in this watch, also the price is too high.
Do you agree?
Can anyone, please, help me and find such a ref. with all its original parts, as the one in the attache pic? Further, how much should i pay for it?

thanks in advance

lsangio

No one can tell you whether your should buy it, but I would want to see movement shots before I even considered it, there could be anything in there.

thx
as you can see, there are no movement shots on the net; i could ask the seller for one maybe two more pics but, can you confirm that all the watch hands have been replaced with fake ones?

Can you/anyone suggest where i can buy one good 2111 piece?
thanks a lot

Lou

Chrono seconds hand may be original, the others aren't.

Keep your eyes on eBay and Chrono24 for pieces to come up, they are out there.

Price is high, but then it's being sold by a dealer so there should be room to maneuvre there. Get it below 2,000 Euros and it's better - at least for a dealer price.

they confirmed 2.000,00 euro free shipping.
it's still too high? No way to buy under that price :?
do you think i should ask for its original box and the warranty certificate, for that price?

Lou

The price is a little high, but you are buying from a dealer so you will always have to pay more than typical auction pricing - that's the convenience of getting one now rather than waiting.

If the box and papers are available they should definitely be included with the sale.

thanks
i have just emailed them to know if their 2111 comes with paper and box.
w/o box and paper i won't buy it, 2.000 is too high; but as the watch is immaculate surely the first owner didn't trow them away...
i hope

As much as the watch looks pristine, it will be VERY VERY rare to find original box and papers for a watch this age... So far I've only seen one with the ORIGINAL box and papers and tags with a watch from a similar era... a 765 copilot awhile back that sold for 8k...

hi,
i know that probably it won't come with box and paper
and it'll have less value for sure when perhaps i'll try to sell it in the future...
so i ask him a small extra discount of 100 euro
If seller will agree i'll get that beauty for 1.900,00

nor so bad IMHO

Why not wait and find an AOPA signed dial?

The black dial does look nice on the 2111 you are considering....
